Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

Looking for versatile medical assistant who can work front office as well as perform clinical duties to include but limited to: Greets patients in a courteous and timely manner Check in and check out patients Verify insurances, collect copays and balances accordingly Check and run daily schedules Answer multiple phone lines, triage incoming calls according to office policies Maintain and comply with HIPAA regulations Insure proper demographics and insurance is collected at check in Schedule follow up appointments Prepare and clean treatment rooms before and after patient exams Obtain vitals and interview patients/care givers to obtain medical history, and pertinent information Record information in the electronic health record Enter information and send out lab specimens appropriately Properly dispose of contaminated supplies Administer vaccines and other injections Assist providers with exams Perform other related duties as assigned Basic computer skills Knowledge of EMR, experience with Glace is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and work as a team Attention to detail Punctuality is a must
