Job Description

Position Overview KCA is currently seeking motivated, detail-oriented college graduates for a full-time, entry-level Clinical Assistant position. This role is specifically designed for future healthcare professionals—particularly those tracking toward Medical Doctorate (MD), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs—who need to accumulate high-quality, direct patient care hours in an outpatient medical setting.

Direct Clinical Experience:

Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Interaction:
Welcome and check in patients, room individuals efficiently, record vital signs, and document patient medical histories.
Clinical Documentation:
Maintain accuracy within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, reconcile patient medications, and draft prescriptions for provider review and authorization.
Care Coordination:
Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, ordering imaging, managing referrals, and coordinating external consultations.
Administrative Operations:
Manage incoming phone lines, respond to patient messages, handle e-faxing, scan documentation, and organize medical supplies.

Maintain a flexible mindset, cross-training across duties to ensure an efficient clinic environment and a positive experience for every patient.
