Chattanooga Allergy Clinic is looking to add a friendly and energetic Medical Assistant to join our team of highly skilled clinical professionals. Our mission as a company is to provide our employees a family environment while helping our patients "

" MAs at Chattanooga Allergy Clinic is responsible for providing direct patient care. New employees are provided a training manual and dedicated preceptor for ongoing learning of specialty skills. Responsibilities include administering allergy injections and monitoring for reactions, updating patient medical records, providing patient education, procedures and testing (including skin testing, pulmonary function testing, oral challenges). Chattanooga Allergy Clinic is recognized as the leading allergy practice in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. We offer 8 office locations including Lee Highway, Downtown, Ringgold, Jasper, Dayton, Cleveland, Ooltewah and Hixson. This position will be required to travel to any of our 8 clinic locations based on operational needs, however it will be primarily working out of the Jasper office. Reliable transportation is required. Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinic also offers extended hours during certain weekdays and weekends. Availability to work scheduled shifts during standard and extended hours, as needed, is required. MAs within our practice, should expect the following job responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in giving quality patient care to patients and in other areas as needed Prepare charts for providers, prior to the appointment date and time Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients Greet patients and prepare them for examination Obtain patient's previous medical records prior to the exam if not otherwise assigned Screen patients for appropriate clinical information, and accurately document vitals, condition, medications, and other relevant medical information using EMR system Instruct patients on testing and collecting of samples, and inform and educate them of diagnostic tests/procedures Assist healthcare providers with various medical procedures/testing/labs Assist in shot room and back up triage as needed Assess patients for potential complications during their office visit Provide post-treatment instructions to patient, family, and/or caregiver prior to discharge Provide compassionate, professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment Providing patient education Provide continuity of care while communicating with all team members Correctly and efficiently document all patient encounters in EMR system Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staffLevel I MA Position Qualifications:
1-5 years experience working as an MA, Phlebotomist, or equivalent role preferred . Completion of a Medical Assistant program requiredLevel II/Level III MA Position Qualifications:
6+ years job history specific to MA equivalent or higher required Leadership and/or Team coordination experience required Completion of a Medical Assistant program requiredJob Type:
