Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Podiatry Medical Assistant, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. In this vital role, you will support podiatrists by managing patient interactions, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional foot and ankle care while fostering a welcoming experience for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a specialized medical setting, with exposure to diverse medical disciplines including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient services. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and perform comprehensive intake procedures to gather relevant medical history and current concerns Prepare examination rooms and assist podiatrists during procedures including X-ray imaging, medication administration, and minor surgical interventions Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding, patient notes, and treatment records Support patient care by explaining procedures, providing post-treatment instructions, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or processing when necessary Ensure clinic compliance with safety protocols by monitoring infection control practices and maintaining equipment readiness Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the foot, ankle, and lower extremities are encourage but not required Experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine environments would be a plus Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and inpatient cases This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to start or continue to grow their healthcare career while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
