Psych Medical Assistant Regular Full Time Technical Knoxville, TN, US Today

1629 Certified Psychiatric Medical Assistant Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays) Full-time (40/hour per week) Locations available: Knoxville, TN, In-Person Who we are: River Valley Health is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center caring for over 70,000 patients across 13 counties in Tennessee. We provide integrated primary medical, behavioral, dental, optometry, and clinical pharmacy services through our nationally recognized integrated model of care. Key Responsibilities:
Assist psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other mental health professionals with patient care. Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data. Prepares and administers medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects or changes. Handle administrative duties, including scheduling, phone calls, and managing electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred; diploma or certificate of completion accepted. Training in CPR and OSHA is required; CPR certification is preferred. Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or related healthcare setting preferred
