Job Description

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US AND WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team here at Beloved Medical. We are a family owned Christ-centered clinic here to serve people as best as we are equipped to. We aim to create a good environment for our team and patients, starting from when they first walk through the door to the heartwarming spirit-lifting music they hear. Our work hours are convenient enough that they allow time in the morning to drop your children off at school and also end up with enough time to spend the evening with your family. We do not currently offer weekend hours. You will have the opportunity to build up your resume because you will be cross trained through every clinical and non-clinical role here at Beloved Medical. We are always ready to help each member of the team to do a great job by giving time for EMR training, on the job clinical training and shadowing staff on ground for a few days or for few hours of paid weekend training if needed.
HOURS AND BENEFITS
Up to 37 hours a week with benefits accrued on a tiered level based on length of employment. You will work with a team who puts their best in every role they work in; clinical and non-clinical. Maintaining an average clinic duration time of 1hour max, 80% of the time. Average wait time of less than 30mins to see Physician Ensuring accuracy of vital signs Maintaining an average rooming time (from triage to Physician encounter) of less than 10mins. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Treat everyone with respect. Greet everyone warmly. Maintain a positive attitude. Front office duties for small start-up clinic. Verify insurance and collect patient payments. Perform and enter into EMR system: patient history, vital signs, chief complaint, screening tools, and other information needed for visit through intake process. Verify patient information by triaging patients, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Note scribing and transcript for physician, must have strong typing skills. Phlebotomy; performs laboratory testing & blood draws on patients. Save doctors' time by helping with office procedures. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations, such as HIPAA and OSHA. Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and managing for repairs. Scheduling appointments and managing fax records. Welcome patients and visitors in person and on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization. Maintain clinic flow by notifying provider of patient's arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies. Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements. Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Perform front and back office tasks as needed to maximize clinic performance. Perform and follow through on referrals in and out of office setting. Follow ALL processes and give feedback for improvements.

ACTIVE Medical Assistant Certification, HIPAA, OSHA, VFC
QUALIFICATION
More than 2 years progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting; demonstrated competence in working in a healthcare setting; ability to articulate and communicate organizational values and mission to diverse audiences; demonstrated competence in working cooperatively with physicians and health care professionals. Outstanding Leadership Qualities.
