Medical Assistant (Nashville & Pleasant View)

Full-time Summary:

Provide clinical and administrative support to providers at our Nashville and Pleasant View clinics to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Room patients, take vitals, record medical history Assist providers with exams and procedures Perform point-of-care testing (rapid strep, flu, urine dip, glucose) and collect specimens for lab Administer injections and immunizations per standing orders Prepare and maintain exam rooms Update and maintain accurate EHR documentation and patient charts Schedule appointments, answer phones, check patients in/out, verify demographics and insurance Perform basic EKGs and wound care as needed Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA policies

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred or equivalent experience CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain 1+ year clinical experience preferred (primary care experience a plus) Proficient with EHR systems and basic computer skills Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Excellent patient service and teamwork orientation

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and assist patients as needed
