Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a client in Nashville, TN. You'll work directly alongside physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality care to oncology patients. You'll help ensure a smooth patient experience from intake through treatment by supporting both clinical and administrative workflows. A typical day includes rooming patients, capturing vitals, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation. You'll also support patient coordination, including scheduling treatments and ensuring all necessary records are prepared. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on delivering compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients and prepare them for exams, including collecting vitals and medical history
  • Assist physicians with exams, injections, and procedures as needed
  • Prepare and sanitize exam/treatment rooms and manage clinic supplies
  • Monitor patient information and alert providers of abnormal vitals or concerns
  • Support administrative tasks (scheduling, documentation, patient forms, etc.)
  • Coordinate care tasks such as ordering tests and scheduling procedures (e.g., transfusions, phlebotomies)

  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Experience taking vitals, documenting patient data, and supporting clinical workflows
  • Ability to assist with injections, exams, and procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Oncology or specialty clinic experience
  • Experience assisting with lab testing coordination or specialty diagnostics
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation
