Job Description

At The Vein Company, we're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join our cutting-edge clinical team! In this vital support role, you'll be part of a collaborative environment that delivers top-tier care that's safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and efficient. As a key member in our team, you'll be right in the action — helping prep patients, setting up sterile equipment, and making sure everything's ready for our physicians to perform the procedure. You will also work closely with Providers for clinical days, rooming patients, preforming intake and vitals, informing patients of test results. While your days at The Vein Company will be fast paced, we also support a work life balance for our employees. This role provides a four day work week, Monday to Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm with no nights or weekends required. Your Role as Medical Assistant
- Assisting with procedural preparation, including patient readiness and ensuring the room is fully equipped.
- Opening sterile instruments with precision and adherence to protocol.
- Retrieving necessary tools, medications, and supplies efficiently to support clinical procedures.
- Maintaining the integrity of the sterile field throughout each procedure.
- Ensuring supplies are consistently stocked and organized in preparation for upcoming cases.
- Providing post-operative support to help patients transition comfortably and confidently.
- Responding to patient inquiries via phone or in person, providing timely and accurate information.
- Conducting patient assessments and obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and current medications.
- Ordering medical supplies.
- Keeping accurate medication and monthly logs.
- Provide indirect patient care by providing patients notification of their test results, sending outpatient referrals, and scheduling procedures.

- Assisting with surgical consents, procedural time-outs, and verifying all pre-procedure requirements are met.
- Support to the nursing team during clinic days.
- Adhering to Universal Precautions, practicing excellent hand hygiene, and maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment.
- You excel at building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and the broader community, all while consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
- You are fluent in medical terminology and demonstrate proficiency in navigating electronic medical records (EMRs).
- You possess a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures and consistently adhere to them with integrity.
- You are a skilled problem solver with strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and effective planning capabilities.
- You are a dependable and proactive team member, always prepared to contribute wherever needed.
- Your written and verbal communication skills are clear, professional, and centered on patient care.
- You demonstrate excellent time management skills and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- You follow instructions accurately and seek clarification when necessary to ensure understanding and quality outcomes.
EDUCATION
- Current documentation of a National Certification for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant preferred (CMA).
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of medical/surgical experience is preferred, but not required.
