The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing essential support to both patients and medical staff. This position requires a strong understanding of outpatient care, medical terminology, and administrative processes within a clinical setting. Duties Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including Checking inpatients collecting copays, rooming patients getting vitals and entering into the EMR. Records patients chief complaints regarding the reason for clinic visit. and maintaining patient records. Prepping charts and maintaining patient records from other facilities. Help in assisting the physician in performing the duties of patient care in a clinic atmosphere. Administer medications and vaccinations following proper protocols. Ensures all areas of the clinic and exam rooms are clean and orderly stocked and prepared for patient visit. Assist with maintaining supplies Handle phone inquiries and relay messages between patients and medical staff efficiently. Offer excellent patient service skills ensure patient comfort and safety Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care Discharges patients and provides patients with information as defined by provider. Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned. Comply with all company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Job Requirements Minimum Education High school diploma or general equivency diploma (GED), medical assistant diploma from accredited vocational institution, or a community college in medical assisting. Minimum Work Experience Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and /or documented evidence in a medical office. Current in vital signs, & injections. Required Licenses/Certifications Certified Medical Assistant within 26 months of Hire Must possess a current CPR certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge of Health care field and medical office protocols/procedures Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately Skill intact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures Ability to project a pleasant and professional image Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others Join us in providing exceptional care to our patients while contributing to the efficiency of our medical office.
