Know Your Team:
BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.
Responsibilities:
Works under supervision of nursing and with full proficiency to perform all duties of a Clinical Support Specialist. Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests. Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties. Performs technical procedures such as suture/staple removal, splinting of extremities, and performs ECGs as ordered. Coordinates daily activities for assigned unit to include general clerical and administrative support and participates in performance improvement activities to enhance and maintain personal and department qualifications and standards of performance.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High School or
GED. BLS
certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
1+ years' experience in acute care or a clinic.
