We are looking for someone that is dependable, hard working and eager to learn. We take care of both cosmetic and reconstruction patients. The most important responsibility of the role is to offer a compassionate and thorough patient experience from when the patient walks through the door and throughout the entirety of their experience with Bailey Plastic Surgery. The ideal person for this position has some experience in medical assistant job responsibilities with great time management and an eagerness for their own personal growth. The ideal candidate is very dependable, detail-oriented, great time management skills, fast learner and eager for career growth. We do ask that you have some experience in the role but having plastic surgery or surgery experience is not required. We expect to teach and have graduated autonomy in the clinical setting. This role does require time spent communicating and participating in insurance prior authorizations. Responsibilities
  • Intake patient including vital signs (blood pressure, HR, RR, temp) and room a patient
  • Document basic medical/surgical history
  • Assist during patient interviews, examinations
  • Document patient information, medical history, treatment plan and other relevant information with precision and efficiency
  • Update and file medical records, insurance reports
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms, help set up for procedures. May include cleaning rooms, stocking supplies.
  • Willingness to cross-train within other departments within your scope of duties which may include telephone calls with patients to update them on plan of care, scheduling patients and arranging hospital follow up as needed Skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task (required)
  • Compassionate bedside manner (required)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to learn EMR/computer systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of or experience with medical insurance authorizations (preferred) Education
  • High school or equivalent (preferred)
  • Medical Assistant (preferred) License/Certification
  • BLS (preferred)
