Job Description

Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Austin, TX. As a Medical Assistant (MA) with Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, you will be responsible for providing physical support services with a variety of both clinical and administrative tasks as to ensure smooth operation of our healthcare facility. The Medical Assistant will coordinate office activities such as maintaining patient recordings and medical documentation, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and more. This position will cover our Guadalupe and Lakeway locations.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Greets and chaperones patients during medical part of visit Coordinates of daily office activities Prepares exam rooms for clinical procedures and assisting practitioners with patient care Maintains medical documentation Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician Processes prescription requests and referrals Other administrative duties may include managing telephone systems, scheduling patient appointments, data entry, and additional duties as assigned Other clinical duties may include obtaining and recording vital signs, preparing medications under the supervision of physician, and additional duties as assigned At Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, we know that our employees are our best assets when it comes to providing exceptional orthopedic care to our patients.
