We have an immediate need for a dependable, resourceful, and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team as a full-time Medical Assistant at our clinic in South Austin. This role involves providing both administrative assistance and clinical support. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination, escort them to the treatment room and be present during examination/treatment to assist the physician in treatment procedures. Measures, collects and records patient's vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height). Interviews patients and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Collects all medical data to help the physician's ability to draw conclusions about the patient's needs. Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Cleans rooms after procedures, cleans and disinfects equipment, restocks supplies. Monitor patients' recovery process, inform the provider of observations, and recommend changes in unresponsive treatment techniques. Maintain communication with patients after treatment to monitor their progress and suggest continuous treatment in the event of a relapse. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and procedures. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality. Assist in keeping clinic orderly and follows appropriate cleaning protocols. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth. Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant. Stable work history. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment. Exceptional customer service skills. Computer proficiency, including keyboarding, Microsoft Office, and eClinicalWorks or similar Electronic Medical Record platform. Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Ability to exhibit core values (Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Quality of Care) and regularly encourage others to do the same. Ability to work and communicate effectively with superiors and peers.
