The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and administrative support. This role involves assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care to patients while ensuring efficient clinic operations. As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you will: Gather medical information and document it on EMR Collect blood, or other laboratory specimens • Triage patients, assist with evaluations and treatment, and provide information to patients as directed by providers. • Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member Operates diagnostic equipment Take patient to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician Prepare and maintain exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician Assists physician during patient examination Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, scanning documents and coding for billing purposes Coordinate referrals with other healthcare providers and pharmacies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment areas Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English Full Time position Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology Experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred Excellent written and communication skills Basic computer literacy with intermediate Word, Outlook, Excel and EMR systems High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
