Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting our healthcare providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in patient intake, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Perform basic lab tests and assist with specimen collection.
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient communications, and handle follow-up calls.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their health, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and office efficiency.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an obstetrics and gynecology office or a similar healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to women's health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software.
