In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support clinical operations across various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional service delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and overall clinic efficiency. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical staff with procedures such as medication administration, wound care, X-ray assistance, and basic life support when needed. Perform routine clinical tasks including drawing blood, collecting specimens, and conducting initial assessments of patients' physiology and anatomy. Manage medical documentation including ICD coding for diagnoses, updating patient charts, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Support hospital medicine units or outpatient clinics by coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent patient service. Maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Operate medical equipment such or other diagnostic tools while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings like the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or geriatrics departments to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Experience supporting medical procedures including. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently in both inpatient and outpatient contexts. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma centers are advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional patient service in diverse healthcare environments such as Geriatrics or Internal Medicine clinics.
