Requirements:
Bilingual Completed formal Medical Assistant education >2 years recent clinical experience High School Diploma or equivalent Good communication Preferred (Not Required, but a Plus!): Experience in pain management Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (ECW) C-arm/fluoroscopy knowledge Assisting with procedures under sedation Responsibilities (include but limited to): Greet patients, check-in/out, collect payments Room patients, obtain vitals, record medical history Answer calls, voicemails, messages, schedule patients Complete medication refill requests and prior authorizations Prepare for future days' schedule, obtain imaging reports, PDMP Work alongside provider, scribing, sending orders/referrals Maintain medical supply inventory and place orders as needed Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations Clean and organize exam rooms, bathrooms, shared workspace Assist with correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms Assist during in-office procedures and fluoroscopy (training provided) Perform IV placement (if already trained) Obtain and prepare urine specimens for lab submission Prepare sterile fields for procedures and maintain instrument sterilization (cleaning, autoclave) Communicate physician orders and address patient inquiries Educate patients regarding procedures and pre/post-care instructions Perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment and report repairs Be willing to cross-train in various office tasks as needed Perform additional tasks assigned by management
