Job Description
Established, fast paced single physician cardiology practice is seeking a certified medical assistant or greater with prior medical office experience preferred. Must have strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Basic medical knowledge is required and cardiology knowledge is preferred. Must have excellent patient relations, possess the ability to take directives from various levels and assume responsibility for assignments. Responsibilities Prepare for clinic by obtaining pertinent data such as lab and test results prior to start of clinic Room patients in a timely manner Obtain vital signs and complex medical history to be recorded in EMR (knowledge of eMDs preferred) Perform EKGs Accurately record patient's medication Work directly with physician and mid-level providers Triage phone calls and patient messages Organize and complete a variety of interoffice requests regarding patient care Report test results Organize incoming faxes/messages
