Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers and patients across diverse medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine units, and emergency departments. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting providers during clinical assessments Support physicians with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care, X-ray procedures, and basic life support when necessary Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment plans Assist with laboratory tests, specimen collection, and processing to facilitate timely diagnoses Coordinate patient flow within outpatient clinics or inpatient units such as Geriatrics or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), ensuring efficient scheduling and communication Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in hospital or Level I/II trauma center settings Support medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education Experience Prior experience working in dermatology clinics, urgent care centers, or hospital medicine units is highly desirable Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures Experience in hospital or Level I/II trauma centers enhances your ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively Demonstrated competence in outpatient or inpatient settings across specialties such as internal medicine or geriatrics Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like X-ray operation or OR experience are a plus Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient service while managing multiple clinical tasks efficiently This role is perfect for motivated Medical Assistants eager to contribute their skills in a vibrant healthcare environment.
