In this role, you will support our Nurse Practitioner by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate patient documentation, and high-quality service. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital environments, or specialized units such as emergency medicine or geriatrics, your dedication will directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and care Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout the visit Support clinical procedures including medication administration, medication prior authorization Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance strategies tailored to specific specialties like family primary care Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics with familiarity in dermatology, geriatrics, or medical-surgical units Knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and treatment procedures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as X-ray technician training or OR experience are a plus Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding standards, and EHR systems for accurate documentation Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic emergency response techniques confidently Prior hospital experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred; experience in PICU or Geriatrics is advantageous Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings Embark on a fulfilling career path where your skills directly contribute to improving health outcomes.
