Our clinic is a fast-paced, high-energy environment built on trust, safety, and smiles. We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant who doesn't just check vitals, but knows how to connect with kids and put anxious parents at ease.
The Ideal Candidate:
If yor are a warm, patient, and vibrant professional who genuinely loves working with children. You know how to turn a scary vaccine visit into a brave adventure using distraction, humor, and empathy. You understand that pediatric care requires treating the whole family, not just the patient.
Key Responsibilities Child-Centered Care:
Welcome young patients and use age-appropriate techniques to calm fears during exams.
Pediatric Vitals:
Accurately measure height, weight, and head circumference; track data on growth charts.
Immunizations & Labs:
Administer childhood vaccines safely and perform rapid tests (strep, flu, COVID-19 swabs).
Provider Support:
Assist pediatricians during physicals, developmental screenings, and minor procedures.
Parent Communication:
Clearly explain provider instructions, medication dosages, and follow-up care to guardians.
Room Management:
Clean and sanitize pediatric exam rooms between visits to meet strict hygiene standards.
Clinic Operations:
Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and manage vaccine registry logs.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of [1-2] years of medical assistant experience specifically in a pediatric setting.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification:
CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is (preferred)
Skills:
Outstanding emotional intelligence, ability to multitask in a busy environment, and excellent communication skills.
Pay:
$10.00 - $18.00 per hour
