Job Description

Pediatric office seeking full-time experienced RN/LVN/Medical Assistant Mon-Fri and rotating Saturday mornings. This position requires a positive multi-tasking team player who is reliable and able to learn quickly. Compensation to be determined on skill set and experience. The right candidate will start in the Frisco location but will transition to the Celina location in the fall once the office opens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following but not limited to: Perform and document patient vitals including height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, temperature, hearing/vision screens, immunization records, chief complaint, and other parameters as needed Assist Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient procedures and treatments Record accurate/complete patient and family history information within patients' chart Perform telephone progress checks specified by the Physician/Nurse Practitioner Collect blood, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, prepare them for testing, and perform all other diagnostic testing as required Stock exam rooms and clean exam rooms at the end of every day and as needed throughout the day Follow all safety precautions to protect self and patients, while abiding all HIPPA compliance measures Administer/document immunizations as directed by Physician/Nurse Practitioner All other duties to be assigned Additional Responsibilities Be professional (in both appearance and attitude) and courteous to patients and coworkers at all times. Maintain a professional, business work environment by limiting personal calls/visitors and socializing to breaks and meal periods. Use of cell phones in clinic areas is strictly prohibited. Your core skills in patient care, medical terminology, and vital signs monitoring will be essential in assisting with examinations and treatments. With premium skills in communication, empathy, and multitasking, you will excel in building rapport with children and their families, as well as managing various administrative tasks efficiently. Your relevant skills in immunization administration, growth chart interpretation, and pediatric CPR will further enhance the quality of care provided in a pediatric setting. Qualifications Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or a current RN/LVN license Knowledge of pediatric medical procedures and terminology Experience working in a pediatric setting Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
