Medical Assistant Kids First Pediatrics - 4.0 Highland Village, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Anatomy knowledge Medical terminology Full Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced medical environment in an outpatient setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting medical histories. Give immunizations and perform venipunctures Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical regulations. Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing inquiries. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Utilize knowledge of anatomy to assist in procedures and communicate effectively with both patients and providers.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures is essential. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
