Job Description

We are looking to hire a Medical Assistant - certification is preferred but not required. Because the individual will be solo MA on certain shifts, he/she must bring working experience as an MA as well as drawing blood. He/she will also be supporting front office responsibilities such as checking in patients, taking copays, so you must be willing to work the front and back. The individual will work between our Hillsboro and Whitney office so reliable transportation is a must. Due to being an urgent care there will be alternating weekends required.

Responsibilities:
Our Medical Assistants greet our patients, obtain their medical histories and verify patient information Prepares patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing all required testing Provide assistance during examinations and treatment Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Providers (including but not limited to diagnostic testing, EKG, injections, blood draws, etc.) and as certified In addition to working as a Medical Assistant, you will be cross trained to perform Front Office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check in/out, communication of wait times, etc.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment
