You will directly impact patient care and aid in clinic efficiency to help provide support during clinic hours and your experience will help ensure smooth clinic operations and patient care. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support accurate diagnoses. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Support physicians with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS). Manage medical administrative duties including ICD coding for diagnoses, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions, providing instructions, and coordinating follow-up care. Assist in various specialties such as dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or trauma centers to broaden clinical experience. Qualifications Prior experience in clinic settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support clinical tasks effectively. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding to ensure precise recordkeeping. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, assisting with X-ray imaging, and supporting inpatient care activities. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients.
Pay:
$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
