Dermatology Medical Assistant - Part Time or Full Time

Dermatology practice looking for a friendly, dependable, outgoing candidate to join our team as a medical assistant. Candidate must be a team player and self-starter with a commitment to providing personalized, high-quality customer service to our patients.

Qualifications required:

Exceptional customer service with commitment to maintaining a positive attitude at all times Team player with strong verbal communication skills to allow effective communication with physicians, other team members, and patients Self-starter, able to take initiative to identify tasks that need to be completed and find solutions for problems that may arise Dependable and punctual Ability to multi-task and EHR experience preferred Responsibilities Welcoming patients and preparing them for the health care visit Data entry of medical information during patient exams Answering patient questions Obtaining consents Assisting with dermatology visits, biopsies, minor surgeries, cosmetic procedures, and other medical procedures Preparing necessary surgical dressings and instructing patient in post-operative wound care, such as dressing changes and appropriate use of medications Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments Completion of pathology and lab requisition documents Assist with patient scheduling, answering telephone calls, check in or check out of patients Complete prior authorizations for medications Other duties and tasks as needed
