Medical Assistant

Full or part-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm for full time. Open to discussion for other days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and support.
• Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and billing.
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures.
• Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and billing.
• Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and dosage calculations.
• Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
• Excellent patient service skills, including effective communication and empathy.
• Ability to provide basic patient care, such as assisting with mobility or personal hygiene needs.
