Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description About Us:
HOURS:
12 HOURS SHIFTS(3 DAYS A WEEK) We are an exciting new pediatric urgent care clinic ! Our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to children in a comfortable, family-centered environment. We are building a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about pediatrics and want to make a difference in their community. We are currently hiring 2 dependable and energetic Medical Assistants (MAs) to be part of our founding team . This is a unique opportunity to grow with a brand-new clinic from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and room patients with professionalism and kindness Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture (blood draws), finger pricks, throat swabs, and urine samples Take and record vital signs, history, and presenting symptoms Assist providers with procedures, exams, and treatments Perform in-office testing (strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, etc.) Administer immunizations and medications as ordered Maintain clean and fully stocked exam rooms Accurately chart in the EMR system Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care team Comply with all HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety protocols
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience required Pediatric and/or urgent care experience strongly preferred BLS/CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start) Strong communication and multitasking skills Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-based environment Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
