Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This position is based in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
• Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient charts
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
• Provide medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation
• Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care

Skills:

• Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record patient information
• Excellent interpersonal skills for providing exceptional patient service and care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification preferred
