We are a physician-led practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care in a supportive, family-oriented environment. We welcome both experienced CMAs and aspiring healthcare professionals looking to gain hands-on experience for their future in medicine.
Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting. It is an excellent opportunity for those exploring a career in healthcare to gain practical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant clinical information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in our electronic health record (EHR) system. Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants during examinations and procedures. Prepare and clean exam rooms before and after patient visits. Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., urinalysis, strep, influenza) and administer injections. Communicate effectively with patients and team members by phone, email, and in person. Conduct follow-up calls to patients regarding treatment progress or instructions. Scan and upload documents to patient files daily. Travel between our McKinney and Frisco offices as needed.
Qualifications:
Current CMA certification preferred, but motivated aspiring healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply. Prior clinical experience preferred but not required. Proficient with EHR systems and general medical office procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Reliable, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure.
Job Type:
Full-time, Monday- Friday Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
