Medical Assistant

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour We are a fast-paced and patient-focused psychiatric practice seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at our McKinney location . This role includes both clinical and front desk responsibilities, and is essential in supporting providers and ensuring a smooth, compassionate, and efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Assist providers during patient visits, including rooming patients and supporting clinical workflows Take and record vital signs when appropriate Prepare and clean exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are fully stocked Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system (Practice EHR) Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as directed by providers Support overall clinic flow to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care Assist with basic clinical tasks as needed

Front Desk Duties:

Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling Verify patient information and assist with registration as needed Support front office operations to ensure smooth daily workflow Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a positive patient experience from arrival to departure

Requirements:

Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Previous clinical experience strongly preferred Experience in behavioral health/psychiatry a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Reliable attendance and punctuality required Experience with Practice EHR preferred (training provided if needed)

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday:

8:30 AM - 5:00

PM Friday:
