Endocrinology Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description About Us:
Texas Associates of Endocrinology and Diabetes is a fast-growing, patient-focused specialty clinic committed to providing comprehensive endocrine care. We're seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic team. If you're organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering exceptional care, we'd love to meet you.
Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting both providers and patients through clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, quick learner, and team player with prior experience in a medical office setting. •This position requires long-term consistency and is not intended as a short-term gap role before medical school, PA school, nursing school, or another training program. • Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Prep patient charts Manage multi-line phone system; respond to voicemails in a timely manner Send lab, imaging, and diagnostic orders as directed Stock inventory and medication samples Room patients, take vitals, and update medication lists in the EMR Retrieve and review test results with patients; coordinate records from external providers Process prescription refills and prior authorizations Use platforms to download CGM, insulin pump, and glucometer data (training provided)
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting 2+ years EMR experience (any system) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Friendly, patient-centered attitude
Spanish-speaking Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) Familiarity with diabetes technologies (glucose meters, insulin pumps, CGMs)
