The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, performing clinical duties, assisting with administrative tasks, and helping to maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Medical assistants are responsible for managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and maintaining electronic health records. They may also handle billing and coding procedures, verify insurance information, and assist with maintaining a clean and organized office environment
Patient Care:
Medical assistants assist healthcare providers in patient care by measuring vital signs, taking patient histories, and preparing patients for examinations. They may also perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood & urine samples, preparing specimens, and conducting routine diagnostic tests
Treatment Support:
Medical assistants may assist healthcare professionals in interventional pain procedures under fluroscopy, including administering medications, preparing and sterilizing medical instruments, and providing basic dressings and wound care. They may also educate patients on medication instructions and post-treatment care.
Equipment and Inventory Management:
Medical assistants are responsible for maintaining and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments. They may also manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels for medical supplies and medications.
Compliance and Documentation:
Medical assistants adhere to legal and ethical standards by maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy. They accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment procedures in electronic health records or paper charts.
Collaboration:
Medical assistants work closely with providers, including physicians, nurse practitoner, and other medical staff. They collaborate in a team environment to provide comprehensive patient care and ensure a smooth workflow within the healthcare facility. Health/Vision/Dental Insurance upon joining.
