The ideal candidate will support clinical operations. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, strong medical knowledge, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality healthcare delivery in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation Assist with patient examinations and procedures as needed Document clinical notes accurately using EHR systems Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-procedure care Assist with basic life support (BLS) during emergencies and respond effectively to urgent care situations as needed Maintain compliance with safety protocols and office policies while supporting the overall workflow of the office Experience Previous experience in outpatient clinics is highly desirable Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential Knowledge of ICD coding, medication administration protocols, X-ray procedures, and outpatient care settings is preferred Proven ability to support patient service functions including intake processes and vital signs collection Prior experience supporting diverse populations including geriatrics or patients in medical-surgical units will be considered an asset This Medical Assistant position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment that values professional growth and high standards of patient care.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
