Dermatology Medical Assistant (Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese)

Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake processes to ensure a seamless check-in experience Measure and record vital signs, chief complaints, and review of systems accurately Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining steps and ensuring comfort throughout the process Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including skin assessments, sample collection, and minor procedures Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient information, treatment notes, and ICD coding for billing purposes Support medication administration under supervision when necessary and ensure proper documentation of all treatments Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and adhere to infection control protocols

What We're Looking For:

Fluency in Vietnamese or Spanish Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., ModMed, EPIC, or similar), documentation and scheduling Proven experience supporting dermatology or outpatient clinics with strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Familiarity with hospital medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical environments is highly desirable Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure patient safety during procedures Knowledge of anatomy related to skin conditions and familiarity with ICD coding standards for accurate record keeping Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally Prior hospital experience or clinic experience in outpatient settings is preferred; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
