About Us Total HealthCare for Women is the OB/GYN practice of Dr. Pamela A. McQuillin, providing comprehensive, compassionate women's health care. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Clinical Medical Assistant to join us and help deliver excellent patient care. Position Summary The Clinical Medical Assistant works directly alongside Dr. McQuillin in the clinical setting, supporting patient visits, exams, and procedures while keeping the day running smoothly. This role blends hands-on clinical work with documentation, patient communication, and care coordination. Prior experience in OB/GYN or women's health is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Room patients, obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and chief complaint Take patient histories and perform medication reconciliation in the EMR Assist Dr. McQuillin during exams and procedures (annual exams, prenatal visits, Pap smears, colposcopies, IUD/implant insertions and removals, biopsies, etc.) and chaperone as needed Obtain fetal heart tones and assist with routine prenatal care Prepare and stock exam rooms; clean, sterilize, and set up instruments Collect, label, and process lab specimens; perform phlebotomy as needed Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by the physician Document patient encounters, orders, and clinical notes accurately in the Tebra EMR Place orders for tests, labs, medications, and supplies as directed by Dr. McQuillin Process referrals and prior authorizations Return patient phone calls, relay test results per physician direction, and handle clinical questions and triage Schedule follow-up appointments, procedures, and outside testing Track and reorder clinical and office supplies; maintain inventory Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Active CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification preferred Current BLS/CPR certification preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) required EMR experience preferred; experience with Tebra a plus Phlebotomy experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Professional, compassionate, and comfortable in a women's health setting Preferred Experience 1+ year(s) as a Clinical Medical Assistant Prior experience in OB/GYN, women's health, or a specialty practice
