We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient healthcare clinic in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, assist providers with clinical procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly prepared and sterilized. This role requires strong clinical, organizational, and customer service skills in a fast-paced patient care environment.

Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM CST (1-hour lunch)
Hourly Pay Rate:
- $ 24.34/hr.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Perform duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice + Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures + Obtain vital signs and collect patient information + Perform EKGs and specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary blood draws + Administer non-IV medications as directed + Change wound dressings, obtain cultures, and remove superficial wound staples + Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and medical equipment using an autoclave + Conduct quality control checks on clinical equipment + Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) + Coordinate patient care according to physician direction and company policies + Maintain exam and treatment rooms, ensuring adequate supplies and cleanliness + Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality standards + Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and basic information gathering by phone and in person + Support Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) protocols + Perform other duties as assigned •Required Qualifications•+ Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential, or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire + Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) + Knowledge of medical terminology + Experience with EMR systems and basic computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook + Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations + Must meet immunization and health screening requirements, including TB screening and proof of immunity/vaccination for required diseases •Preferred Qualifications•+ At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience + Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding + Strong communication and customer service skills + Bilingual Spanish preferred •Why work for Adecco?
