In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support across outpatient and inpatient settings, assisting healthcare providers with clinical procedures, patient intake, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and efficiently perform patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and updating records Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a sterile environment Support medication administration under supervision and assist with basic wound care or dressing changes Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, treatment plans, and ICD coding for diagnoses Conduct diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or basic laboratory tests in accordance with safety protocols Manage medical supplies inventory, prepare exam rooms, and ensure all clinical areas meet cleanliness standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospital units like ICU or PICU, and trauma centers to deliver exceptional patient service Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse specialties such as dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and emergency medicine Experience working in hospital environments or Level I/II trauma centers with inpatient or outpatient care responsibilities Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes; familiarity with ICD coding is highly desirable Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across age groups from pediatric (PICU) to geriatric care Capable of handling fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital emergency departments while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience supporting medical administrative functions like appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and data entry is preferred Join us in delivering top-tier healthcare support that empowers providers and enriches patient experiences!
