Multiple clinic locations as needed Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and flexible Float Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical staff across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a team‑oriented professional who is comfortable adapting to different clinic environments and assisting with both clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow and high‑quality care. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates Obtain and organize required patient records prior to physician exams, treatments, or procedures Prepare, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms; order supplies as needed Assist physicians during exams and procedures (standing and note‑taking only) Maintain strict exam room cleaning and disinfection protocols Answer patient phone calls and route appropriately to physicians, nurses, or pharmacists Phone in prescriptions and make patient follow‑up calls as directed by physicians or RN staff Notify physicians of patient reschedules and no‑shows Perform administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, and other tasks as assigned Qualifications Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical experience preferred Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient intake processes Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Flexible and dependable; comfortable floating between locations Basic computer and medical record documentation skills Apply today! Limited spots available! Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
