The Role As a Shine Medical Assistant, you're more than a clinical support staff member — you're a smile-maker, a calm-in-the-storm, and a key part of our care team. You'll greet patients like family, keep our clinical engine running smoothly, and bring a warm, kid-friendly energy to every interaction. What You'll Do Prepare patients for exams & labs with a caring, confident approach Take vitals & document in our EMR system Perform blood draws, urine collections, and specialty testing Administer vaccines with skill and a gentle touch Answer patient messages & calls related to back-office care Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for the next superstar patient Perform EKGs Educate parents about Shine's philosophy & guide them through care steps What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent CMA or RMA certification Solid experience as a Medical Assistant, including phlebotomy & injections Strong multitasking skills & a customer service mindset Clear, professional communication — verbal & written Comfort with high message volume & busy days Love for pediatrics (experience in pediatric care highly preferred) Bonus points for: Pediatric phlebotomy experience NextGen (HealthFusion) knowledge Klara or other patient messaging platforms experience Near Pefect Attendance and Punctuality The Shine Fit You'll thrive here if: You genuinely enjoy kids (and can win over even the shyest toddler) You can juggle multiple tasks without losing focus You believe excellent care is equal parts skill and compassion You bring positivity to the team and the families we serve
