The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including dermatology, geriatrics, and internal medicine. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in delivering effective treatment within a Level II Trauma Center environment. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with patient examinations, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for their appointments by obtaining vital signs and medical histories. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Ensure compliance with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge when documenting patient information. Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with medical-surgical procedures as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and equipment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and hospital environments is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential. Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high-acuity settings is advantageous. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems to manage patient information effectively.
