Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity presented for a Medical Assistant to join a busy Pain Management practice in the Stone oak area. Experience in Pain Management office procedures is a plus. Bilingual is a plus. Under direct supervision, responsible for general clinical duties such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and maintaining examination rooms at a Pain Management care site. May perform some administrative duties and support the documentation of patient records as dictated by the physician or provider.

Job Duties:

Calls patient to triage area to take vital signs, completes assessments, documents in EMR/chart and update patient charts. Prepares patients as needed for examination. Maintains patient flow in and out of exam room, prepares patients as needed for examination to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. Document patient exams in electronic health record, noting specifically the exam components, diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, and medications. Cleans and prepares examination rooms prior to patient appointments. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

A high school diploma or GED and graduation from a Medical Assistant program are required.

Additional Licenses and Certifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
