Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description OBGYN Medical Assistant Position Summary:
OBGYN Office in search of certified medical assistant to assist the medical provider with physical examinations, carry out nursing treatments and perform other health care procedures according to provider's orders. Must develop working knowledge of clinic policies and procedures. The Medical Assistant must establish good public and working relationships.
Qualifications:
Experience working in OBGYN/Female Health Clinic High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school or certification from an approved credentialing body for medical assistants is required. One-year prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment or have successfully completed an externship within a Kellum Physician Partners clinic. Greets patients and obtains patient history and vital signs. Prepares patients for physical exam. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests Maintains timely flow of patients Updates patient care plan under direction of medical provider. Orders, prepares, and inspects patient charts. Performs other tasks and related work as required. Provide a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients• Maintains patient privacy according to HIPPA requirements. Experience in getting insurance approval & scheduling surgery as needed for
