Job Description
•Must have at least 1 year of Pediatric experience (to include administering immunizations, finger sticks for Hgb/Lead and heel sticks for Newborn Screens) and must be bilingual•As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for supporting our doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. You will need to complete all assignments/tasks accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Triage patients and document basic medical history and Chief Complaints. Be proficient in administering immunizations, medications, and collecting lab specimens. Accurately update and scan medical records and insurance documents. Assist in scheduling radiology and laboratory services. Assist with processing Referrals and scheduling of appointments. Assist Doctor / Nurse Practitioner during medical examinations. Properly distribute and file correspondence, letters, faxes and forms. Assist with basic scheduling of Office appointments. Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments. Be a total Team player and assist fellow coworkers as needed. Skills Must have at least 1 year of Pediatric experience as a medical assistant (must be proficient with all immunizations, lab collection, etc.). Knowledge and Proficiency of EMR/EHR systems and documentation. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task. Social/Cultural perceptiveness and sensitivity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Must be bilingual (Spanish and English)•'
