Temp RPM Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to support a busy cardiology office in Sherman, Texas! The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care while playing a vital part in assisting with clinical procedures, patient interactions, and smooth clinic operations in a fast-paced cardiology environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs, medical history, and current medication lists Assist cardiologists with diagnostic procedures including EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and echocardiograms Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, medications, and heart-healthy lifestyle choices Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and coordinate patient follow-ups Ensure medical equipment and supplies are properly stocked and maintained Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed Provide excellent customer service while handling patient inquiries Strictly follow infection control protocols and HIPAA guidelinesQualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) strongly preferredExperience:
1-2 years of medical assisting experience, with cardiology or specialty clinic background highly desiredTechnical Skills:
Proficient in performing EKGs, using EMR systems, and executing basic medical proceduresInterpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team settingCertifications:
