Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism. Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and effective patient care. Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in medication administration as directed by medical professionals. Support geriatric patients by understanding their specific needs and providing appropriate assistance. Utilize medical terminology effectively in all communications and documentation. Assist in the coordination of services within Level I and Level II Trauma Centers as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital medicine practices is essential. Familiarity with patient service protocols and basic life support techniques is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
