This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional looking to expand their clinical skills while working alongside experienced providers in a fast-paced patient care environment. Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients. Responsibilities include patient intake, assisting with dermatological procedures, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system. Essential Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information in the EMR system. Assist physicians during skin biopsies, cosmetic treatments, and minor surgical excisions. Provide exceptional patient service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Educate patients on basic treatment and follow-up instructions as directed by providers. Dermatology-Specific Duties Assist with dermatologic procedures and treatments. Operate and manage phototherapy equipment. Prepare treatment rooms and procedure trays. Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards. Administrative & Documentation Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the EMR. Assist with patient flow and scheduling needs as required. Maintain organized and stocked exam rooms and clinical work areas. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association. Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant OR Minimum of one (1) year of directly related Medical Assistant experience if not certified/registered. Basic knowledge of medical and nursing terminology. Computer proficiency and experience using electronic medical records. Ability to safely use medical equipment and supplies appropriate for patient care. Preferred Qualifications Previous dermatology experience. Sterilization experience. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and patient service skills.
