This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in medical administration and clinical support, particularly within dermatology. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating patient appointments, managing clinical tasks, and supporting dermatology providers to ensure seamless patient care delivery. This role requires excellent organizational skills, comprehensive medical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently while managing multiple calendars within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist dermatologists and other healthcare providers with clinical tasks performing intake assessments, and documenting patient information accurately. Support patient care by preparing examination rooms, handling specimen collection, and assisting with minor procedures as needed. Maintain thorough knowledge of dermatology-specific medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Manage patient flow in outpatient clinics by coordinating appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to ensure optimal clinic operations. Uphold the highest standards of patient service by providing compassionate assistance and clear communication throughout the patient journey. Requirements Proven experience in dermatology or related medical fields such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and medication administration practices. Familiarity with EHR systems for scheduling, documentation, and scheduling Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars efficiently Answer high-volume phone calls and assist with patient inquiries Verify insurance and collect payments Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
