Job Overview:
The Medical Assistant will play a dual role, functioning both as a medical assistant and a medical receptionist. We are looking for someone with a friendly attitude, an outgoing personality, and excellent customer service skills. This position involves hands-on patient care, maintaining schedules, managing patient flow, ordering supplies, and answering phones. Every patient interaction is an opportunity to deliver care with deep presence and unreasonable hospitality. We value attention to detail, ensuring every patient feels cared for, nurtured, valued, and special.
Essential Duties:
  • Greet patients warmly and make them feel welcome.
  • Answer phones and assist with inquiries.
  • Verify and update patient personal information in electronic medical records.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and manage patient flow.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns with clarity and empathy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of waiting areas and exam rooms; ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Prepare and inventory instruments for transfer and sterilization.
  • Assist the physician during visits and procedures, proactively setting up for upcoming procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Provide excellent service and support to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Conduct patient call backs and send prescriptions as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Foster a positive attitude and a growth mindset.
  • Accept constructive feedback graciously.
  • Phlebotomy duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
  • Education:
    Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Degree required.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant; 2+ years preferred.
  • Experience in plastic surgery or dermatology is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and openness to new approaches.
  • Professionalism:
  • Strong professional attitude, including personal manner, dress, and timekeeping.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong, lasting relationships with patients and the team.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
